The Poster Shop is Closed

This is a result of the new  U.S.tariffs of 35% being charged on all Canadian shipments at the border. We sell posters to offset the cost of keeping the work of Rob Gonsalves present online. It may be temporary but it may be permanent depending on whether we can figure out how to continue selling posters to Americans who love Rob's work without taking losses. American buyers make up 90% of sales. Orders to many European countries are returned “unclaimed”.….

The career of Rob Gonsalves took off with the help of a Washington, DC gallery. His paintings really resonated with Americans. He loved and found inspiration in the city of New York and its architecture.  I am saddened that I may not be able to continue offering his work to his fans.

I was planning to print new posters of images chosen by the public this Fall but that is on hold now. If you wish to be informed of future developments, please add your name and email address to the Mailing List.

New Poster Survey 2024!!!

You choose which two Rob Gonsalves images will be printed next. Survey link:  https://forms.gle/RerutiEsgc1oC8kA8

It’s time to print 2 new Rob Gonsalves posters. This public survey chooses which images will be offered next. I know you have been disappointed that your favourite Gonsalves painting was not available as a poster. Here is your chance to have your say!!!!!!

If you don’t see your favourite painting represented as a choice, there is a survey option to add it for consideration.

All Rob Gonsalves posters are printed using high resolution files and are on recycled paper. The Poster Shop at robgonsalves.live is the ONLY site where great quality posters can be purchased.

The internet is riddled with illegal, bad quality art prints that steal from all artists. Please don’t support those online scammers.

Hanging Options for Posters

Are you wondering how to display the posters?

The posters can be tacked on the wall for immediate enjoyment or you can buy poster hangers. Many are choosing to protect them framed, behind glass. The option I chose to take them to events was to laminate them on board. Compared to traditional framing, this method costs a lot less. My framing store had them done for me.

Here are some of my laminated posters. Three of the four impromptu photos were taken outside to lessen the light glare. I wanted to show you how this option protects the paper. It was raining slightly. ( My low resolution photos don’t really show off how well the posters read.)

Rob Gonsalves 1959 - 2017

Rob Gonsalves died on this day, June 14, 2017.

“Across the Pond” was his last painting. Rob preferred that those who viewed his work find their own interpretations. For me, this painting speaks about existence being a wondrous expedition into the unknown. On the journey, find the magic, beauty and love.

FINALLY! THE U.K. IS BACK ON THE POSTER SHIPPING LIST!

U.K. poster orders are again being accepted in the POSTER SHOP. When it became evident that orders to the U.K. placed in the Spring were not arriving in a timely fashion, orders were no longer being accepted. (One order arrived 79 days after it was sent. ) At this time, only the Tracked Package shipping option is going to be available to the U.K. Once the mail service is proving reliable, U.K. buyers will have the less expensive shipping option to choose from again.

Shipping IS expensive. My aim has always been to make the posters available to everyone and I did decide to include an inexpensive Air Mail shipping options (even though it is slow and not tracked) to keep the cost down. Poster buyers from other countries do have both the untracked mail service and the more expensive, tracked option.

Just rolling with the times!
